KUIU have supplied the Storm Star with the lightest (and weakest) DAC NFL poles. The tent would fare far better with the stronger DAC NSL 9mm or 9.6mm poles. 7001-T6 aluminium alloy is generally regarded as the best aluminium alloy for lightweight tent polesproviding the best balance between weight and strength.
